TANGOS

                  Cette danse est née dans les faubourgs de Buenos Aires à la fin du XIXe siècle. Les hommes, alors plus nombreux que les femmes, y dansaient ensemble ou invitaient les prostituées. Avec ces dernières, les corps se mirent à flirter ostensiblement conférant au tango son caractère enflammé. Violent aussi : les hommes voulant dominer, les femmes jouant de leur désir. Chaque tango raconte l’histoire d’une passion où les volontés s’affrontent. Ses mouvements sont nerveux, mais toujours étudiés pour être hautement esthétiques. 

                  This dance was born in the suburbs of Buenos Aires in the late nineteenth century. Men, then more numerous than women, danced together or invited prostitutes. With these, the bodies began to flirt ostentatiously conferring the tango its inflamed character. Violent too: men wanting to dominate, women playing their desire. Each tango tells the story of a passion where wills clash. His movements are nervous, but always studied to be highly aesthetic.
