MAZURKAS

      La mazurka est une danse traditionnelle originaire de Pologne, très rythmée, à trois temps, de tempo vif et dont les accents se déplacent sur les temps faibles. Elle connut une grande vogue dans les salons européens au XIX e siècle et passa rapidement dans le répertoire populaire et des danses de société.

      The mazurka is a traditional dance from Poland, very rhythmic, three beats, lively tempo and whose accents are moving on weak times. It was very popular in European salons in the nineteenth century and quickly passed into the popular repertoire and social dances.
